A graduate of the Urals State Conservatoire Victor Kozlov took part in a lot of competitions of guitar music both in our country and abroad. He performed solo programmes in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Kharkov, Odessa, Minsk, Cologne, Essen, Luzern, Astana, Torino, Rimini and Bishkek.
As a guitarist Victor Kozlov became a laureate of the first Region Contest of performers on Russian folk instruments in Chelyabinsk in 1988 (first prize). He won a diploma at the All-Russian Contest in Gorky in 1990.
As composer of original music for classical guitar, he was awarded 1st Diploma in Donetsk (1982) and Moskow (1988). At the Ninth International Guitar Festival in Estergom (Hungry) Victor became a third prize laureate as a composer.
Some of his compositions have already been published in Russia, Germany, England, Italy, Poland and Finland. Such guitarists as Ekaterina Pushkarenko (Moscow), Anatoly Izotov (St. Petersburg), Simon Dinigan (England), Irina Kulikova (Holland), Heike Matthiesen (Germany), Giorgio Mirto (Italy) include his compositions in their programmes.
Victor Kozlov is professor at Tchaikovsky Institute of Music of Chelyabinsk and often takes part in concerts. He is the chairman of Classic Guitar Association in the regional Musical Society.
