Rossini Hayward was born in 1981 in London. It was during his studies of Engineering Science at St. Anne’s College, Oxford University that he took his first guitar lessons with Gilbert Biberian. Although he graduated with a First and started a promising career in the aerospace industry he decided instead give it up to focus on the guitar. In 2006 he went on to study the guitar formally, first at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with John Mills and finally at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with Sonja Prunnbauer where he graduated in 2012 with the highest honours. Aside from being a prominent performer Rossini spends much of his time composing and arranging for the guitar. He has gathered considerable attention outside of the classical guitar world with his arrangements of the music of Richard Wagner. His first CD "Pieces of Mind", which consists solely of works he has himself arranged or composed, was released in 2018 to international acclaim.
